Pretty toes?

One pet peeve of many ladies in SL is the ugliness of toes in fact we have written about this before and wearing open toe shoes was a definate 'no no' - now its a big YES!
These pretty open toe designs are from Virtual impressions and come with so many options it would be impossible to show you all of them.
Chrissy has incorporated scripting with cunning design which allows the owner to change any aspect of these shoes' colour from the studs to the intricate toe ring stone or even the metal.
But the main thing that I found impressive is the toes - why?
Well everyone has individual skintone so how could these match? The skin tone can also be changed - choose your basic colour from the menu then adjust it lighter, darker, more tan, less pink, more peach etc, if you can't match your skin tone I would be amazed - you can even change the toe nail colour to match your outfit, with just 2 or 3 pairs of these shoes you would never need another shoe in SL again!
Designs shown here are :
Melissa - A platform sandal with heart detailing
Diana Sandal - The detail on the pretty butterflies really shows on these
Louise - an open toe court shoe
There are many other designs these are just a few of my favourites go along to Chrissys main store to see some more for yourself:

Get Down to Earth, with Lutricia’s Luxuries

By Bixyl Shuftan

As a clothing store, Lutricia’s Luxuries offers a variety of dress and other items. This includes "family" items such as fashion for child avatars, and gothic wear for those searching for a darker look. The shop is located in the Earth sim (108, 136, 26) and owned by Lutricia Roux, “... my main passion is to design clothes, accessories etc :)”

Lutricia logged onto Second Life in August 2007, “I read about it in a newspaper and got curious.” She considers her start in SL a good one, “I got in touch with some Scandinavians (Lutricia is Swedish), and they were really helpful to me. They showed me the basics, freebie shops, etc. :) “ Lutricia has always been making clothes in Second Life, “Ever since I started, I have been interested in trying to make my own things and own clothes. I started to try, and discovered, and I developed. and started to see I might be able to do the things I saw for sale myself instead of buy them.”

She got the idea of selling clothes, “when I liked it myself enough to want to wear or use it." Lutricia did more than just clothes, “I also build some furniture and prefab, but I enjoy the clothesmaking, and work with tiny prims more. :) And scripting is great fun, but there is so many professionals out there, who are real scripters.” Eventually came the Lutricia’s Luxuries store, “The first time I set up my shop was almost a year ago. I have moved from my first location. Where we are now has been up since the middle of November.” Since last summer, sales “have really improved.”

The store has mainly family items on the first floor, and gothic ones upstairs. “Kids clothes, I try to keep them not so fluffy, more to the elegant side, with a touch of neko, grunge maybe. The adult-sized accessories and shoes, are more to the gothic side.” Besides clothing, “I sell teddy bears, both kids and grown ups buy them, hats ... lots of shoes.” Her best selling items are, “the kids’ outfits and my L's shoe collection, and themed teddy bears, such as Christmas, etc.” Her newest item, “I have recently released a pair of death dolls, covered in barbed wire.”

Lutricia says she met a variety of people in Second Life. Among the good, the people at the Mystery sim, “I have meet some great friends at the Queen of Hearts, very caring and loyal.” She eventually got a position there, “I am the manager of events at Queen of Hearts.” How does she find managing, “It is fun, I enjoy it. I produce the schedule of the week, then assign hosts and trainees to their roles. All host report back to me, I look after them, answer questions, etc., help if needed.” Valentine’s Day went very well for Mystery, “We noticed a big increase in traffic, and it is great for Valentine’s Day, romantic themed. Well, great for any day but extra good for that. :) “

At one point in the interview, Lutricia ran off, zipping away in a dust cloud and appearing on the other side of the store, “Hehe, sorry. I have this flight helper. If you touch the arrow keys twice, you go through walls, hehe.”

Lutricia’s Luxuries and Mystery have some cross-advertising of one another, “it is an idea from Tygeria. We will try to increase it, it has benefits for us both. She is very supportive to us all.”

Lutricia’s future plans are, “Basically I want to learn more and improve, and buy some more SL time. :)” She also planned on making some group gifts.

Before long, Lutricia had to rush off for something in real life, and so we had to part ways.

“I'm very grateful to all my loyal customers.”

These Boots Are Made For...

When I began my Second Life, there was so much to see and do, so much to learn, so much love. Except for boots. The boots that I saw, both on avatars and in stores were huge ungainly affairs, with chains, and straps, and enough bling to blind any unsuspecting avatar close to you. There was no way I was going to put them on my feet. For one thing, I was sure that I wouldn’t be able to fly with those weights attached to my lower extremities.

SL designers heard the call of the avatar that didn’t want to look like she was going into battle on a distant star, and created boots that are sleek and sexy. Shown here are some of my favorites, boots by INSOLENCE, Redgrave, Lyra Muse of LC Vamp, and Onyx LeShelle of Maitreya. Gotta love ‘em…

Taken by Storm

Shopping. It’s my vocation. My recreation. My life. While in Mischief Cove on one such shopping expedition I happened upon a shoe store with such delicious sculpted prim pumps that I could feel the Lindens just slipping out of my account.
I was taken by Storm…Storm Schmooz Exclusive Second Life Footwear, to be exact.
Specializing exclusively in sculpted prim footwear, Storm Schmooz has stepped up to the plate. In classic style, these shoes and boots will cradle your little avatar feet in beautifully textured loveliness. From the stiletto heel to the gently pointed toe, these shoes and boots will complement any outfit. Mr. Schmooz has been designing footwear in Second Life for a relatively short time now, but has taken the shoe world by Storm. The styles that I have had the pleasure of sporting are sexy and appealing. Essential is a classic stiletto pump available 4 lovely textured shades including a gray and cognac, along with tiger, leopard and zebra. Elegance, a champagne hued pump, sports a sculpted prim bow that is sweet and feminine. This style is also available in a metallic gold that could be legal tender. His Desir de Noir is a black pump with a darling mesh bow that would look lovely on the red carpet in your best evening wear. I do caution you to wear nothing longer than tea length with this shoe, as you won’t want to hide these beauties under a skirt. Pret-a-Sortir is a bundle of four pairs of black snakeskin pumps, embellished with black or colored bows, including lavender, gold and blue. His most recent entry is Laque, a retro style pump with a slightly rounded toe, a low platform and an elegant curved heel, and is available in a variety of colors.
Men have not been forgotten here either, although at present, he has only one style. However, this brown wingtip is amazingly detailed, and perfect with either a suit or business casual. Right down to the sculpted prim shoelaces, they are expertly crafted, and sure to please the most discerning man.
Storm Schmooz Exclusive Second Life Footwear shoes and boots have transfer permissions, so they can be gifted.
All in all, Mr. Schmooz has taken this Fashion Whore by storm!

I find shoe heaven at Virtual Impressions

I love Designing Clothes in SL but one thing i have never got the hang of is shoes so I am always on the lookout for shoes to match my designs, yesterday I got an IM from mommy telling me about this wonderful shoe place where she had got several pairs because the price was so reasonably, having nothing better to do at the time I asked her for a LM and headed over to Virtual Impressions.
A Virtual Impression it certainly made WOW shoe heaven I immediately bought one of the first pairs I saw then decided I better have a wander around before I bought every design LOL. There were sandals, evening shoes, daywear, then the boots! Here i lost control again and ended up with 2 pairs. Then I noticed stairs so up I went, beautiful jewelry is on offer up there made with the same dedication to detail as the shoes and boots, I bought a delicate charm bracelet almost immediately LOL!
Downstairs I caught up with the owner and designer Chrissy Ambrose, after introducing myself and telling her how much I loved her designs, I asked her about her business;
Dana Vanmoer: Did you start making shoes or jewelry?
Chrissy Ambrose: Shoes first, but very quickly afterwards jewelry. Mainly because I found I enjoyed working with prims and with the footwear I tend to combine the two, so use microprims on the shoes and boots. For me it is important to make the designs different, and that way I can use the decoration to do that
Dana Vanmoer: What would you like people to know about your designs?
Chrissy Ambrose: well Primarily that they are Unique, detailed and affordable. Most sl visitors can afford something in the store and even the top priced items are still reasonable. I try to cater for most, but I don't do many overtly sexy styles.
Dana Vanmoer: Thank you for your time Chrissy

One thing I found most refreshing is that all shoes and boots here have a demo - so you can try them on and see how they look, of course most are modifiable so they can be made to fit too. You can also win some of the designs on any of the 3 lucky chairs in store.
Try them out for yourself HERE
