Agnes Finney “My Precious” designs  is having two special events in the next week. December 26 there will be a 2nd Anniversary Fashion Show with two presentations . One will be at 12:00 and the second at 4:00 so that you can plan your visit. Another important event is the crowning of the My Precious Queen 2009 which will take place on January 2, 2010. All the My Precious Princesses of 2009 will vie for that honor  and will win not only the title but also some marvelous gifts.

Passion for Fashion

The “Passion for Fashion” fashion show featuring AZUL, Ce Cubic Effect, Discord, Ottico Glasses and HAYZURIZA footwear.

This show was a real treat for fashion fans of both sexes – daring, sexy designs for both day and night. The over riding themes of this show were, detail, texture and movement. The styles were varied, from young, edgy day wear to classical evening wear, from chunky buckled boots to fine elegant stilettos but the quality was consistent – as high as anything I’ve seen on Second Life.
The ladies day wear tended to involve short(ish), layered skirts with more movement than you can expect from such brief garments, married with delightful little camisole tops or bikini style tops, again the brevity of the clothes was a secondary factor to the texturing, these fabrics look not only real but oh so touchable. Even in the outfits which involved trousers (both mens and womens) not only had wonderful texturing and delightful detail but movement was built in, either in long, scarf like belts or, in the case of the mens outfits “swirling tails married to tiny “coats".
The evening dresses by AZUL are a real feast for the eyes, not only are the shapes wonderful, old time elegant movie star inspired with an added twist of modern, sophisticated sexiness, the texturing and detailing is beyond words. This is a real talent that has bloomed before our eyes. These are dresses that are cut in such a way as to make you very glad you invested in a good skin and with textures so good, that it will make it hard for a lady to keep her eyes on her date rather than the intricate, subtle detailing on her dress. There are a lot of designers making bids for our hard earned Linden Dollars, there aren’t many designers that not only deserve our patronage but win it as certainly as these designers do.

SLCN.TV TO PROVIDE LIVE COVERAGE OF MEROVINGI FASHION AWARDS 2008

Second Life, April 24, 2008 -- The 2008 Merovingi Fashion Awards geared up this week
with their week-long fashion showcase as a prelude to the fashion awards gala on Saturday,
April 26, 2008, which will be broadcast live on SLCN.TV from 4 pm to 7 pm PST. MFA2008
is hosted by the Merovingi Group, which was established to increase awareness of
international humanitarian efforts within the virtual world of Second Life.
The Merovingi Group is proudly sponsoring the National Breast Cancer Foundation and
Doctors Without Borders during this year's Fashion Awards and have set a goal to raise
$15,000 dollars for the selected organizations, which have made exemplary strides to
improve access to the information and means to seek medical care and treatment for
millions of people worldwide.
Last year's show, helped raise over $5,000 for the American Cancer Society and crowned
the Best New Designer and Best SL Designer. This year, the Second Life community
nominated designers in five categories with the top five accepting nominees in each
category receiving invitations to attend the Merovingi Fashion Awards to showcase their
work. MFA 2008 Awards will be given out for Best Female, Best Male, Best Goth, Best
Furry, and Best New Fashion label.
Partners and sponsors on the roster supporting MFA 2008 are SLCN.TV, RUNWAY Magazine,
MODA Modeling School, 3DG - The Don Duke Development Group, Max March Industries,
and the MHA Group.
SLCNs own duckyfresh Watanabe and Carter Giacobini will serve as Mistress and Master of
Ceremonies for the evening. On hand for presentation of the awards to the top designers
will be Best of SL Magazine's CEO Frolic Mills alongside renowned designers Melania Zhao
and Emma Gilmour. The gala event will be dotted with live performances by SpaceJunky,
Jax Streeter, Thumper Boucher, Moxy Baracuda, and Rosedrop Rust.
The 2008 Merovingi Fashion Awards gala will broadcast live exclusively on SLCN.TV with
simulcast locations across the Second Life grid. Viewers may also tune their browsers to
www.slcn.tv for additional coverage of MFA 2008.

URBAN Model Management Fashion Event

Following the fashion show, Urban Model Management will host a reception and scavenger hunt at their Corporate Headquarters. Search the grounds and building for the hidden high heel shoes to win some amazing prizes.
Need a good laugh? Urban Model Management is pleased to have Comedian Salamander Maroon perform at 5:00 PM SLT at the main event venue. Immediately following the comedy act, Urban Model Management will close the day's event with an all request music party. Come dance, mingle and have an amazing time! SL Illustrated Bid for a Model Event

On February 16, 2008 at 9am slt, SL Illustrated is hosting an event called "Bid for a Model", 100% of the proceeds in this event will be donated to the WarChild International Network.

Warchild International sponsored in-world by Rosalie Rothlisberger, is a network of independent organizations, working across the world to help children affected by war. The organization is founded upon the fundamental goal of advancing the cause of peace through investing hopes in lives of children caught up in the horrors of war. In this event, SL models will be auctioned to the highest bidder for an opportunity to have a minimum of 2 hours dance at the SLI Angels Club which is being managed by Alyssa Masala. TWIN TOWERS MALL HOLIDAY SHOW AND GRAND OPENING
