The Royal Queen

The Runway at My Precious was elegant. Expectant contestants behind sheer curtains to make their way along the Runway and  show their beauty to the observant judges. They were all stunning and charmed the judges.  The room was filled with Princesses and friends of those who vied for the honor of being The Royal Queen of My Precious. Agnes Finney , Will Finney , the owners of My Precious , were among the judges , along with  ABD Jewelry and the Avenue representatives. After rounds of  presentation before the judges the selections were made they retired to make a decision . The one chosen to have  honor of being Royal Queen 2009 is Janina Scarmon. The second place went to Julia Brand and third to Ireland Anthony. For under $100L you can get a knitted hat and scarf in a variety of colors. For a bit more, you can get custom shirts in a variety of colors, including some with added bling to them. The fancy shirts would be great for a New Yeaŕs Eve party. For only $55L you can buy a silk neck scarf to dress up a more traditional shirt.
     The shoe selection is very good, too. Snakeskin dress shoes are available in black, brown, and tan. Chucks come in red, brown, green, and a really fun blue SnowStar design. The shoes, hat and scarf set, and sexy meńs briefs are available in gift boxes that can be personalized, too.
     The man behind the designs is Boris Juneberry, a relatively new resident of SL. He came into the scene in February, 2009. Initially he started out with furniture design, but a few months ago he moved into meńs clothing. In RL, the man behind Juneberry is studying graphic design, and he is transferring those skills into SL.
In January, Juneberry plans to expand by adding styles for women.

MODAVIA FASHION MARKETING ANNOUNCES DESIGNER WARDROBE GIVEAWAY PRESENTATION:

September 14, 2009 - Modavia Fashion Marketing today announced plans for the next Designer Wardrobe Giveaway presentation to coincide with the Modavia Fashion Week event taking place September 10-17. The Giveaway is a regular monthly drawing that rewards one lucky subscriber to the Modavia Fashion Directory with a free designer wardrobe containing up to 45 couture outfits.

During the course of Fashion Week subscribers have been invited to visit Bryant Park, the venue for Modavia Fashion Week, and enter the drawing. Two winners will be announced immediately after the final show which will take place at 4pm on the 17th September. A total of 90 designs from 40 of the top couturiers in Second Life will be given away together with all the artwork contained in the last 2 editions of the Directory, that is, the 10th and 11th edition.

To avoid congestion on the sim winners will not be required to be present at the drawing but will be required to make themselves available for photographs within a week of the prize being awarded. Anyone can enter the Giveaway drawing providing they are current subscribers to the Modavia Fashion Directory. This contest is not open to staff, models, clients, sponsors or suppliers of Modavia. There are kiosks for signup located at many fashion retailers throughout Second Life, at the Modavia Headquaters and at Bryant Park during Fashion Week.

Club Velvet Manor throws its first Fashion Show – September 29, 2009

The newly refurbished and relocated Club Velvet manor will sponsor its first fashion show on it’s own sim. The club is spotlighting the designers from all of their Boutiques located in the Atrium of Club Velvet Manor. Official invitation is as follows.

Modavia Productions Announces Show Lineup for Fashion Week

July 27, 2009 –
Modavia Productions, the fashion show production division of Modavia Fashion Marketing, will host Fall Fashion Week.
This week of fashion shows will feature a preview of the new Fall and Winter collections from 35 of SL's best designers.
A broad range of men’s and women’s fashion designs including couture, formal, casual, and lingerie will be showcased.
Shows will begin on September 10 and run through September 17. A total of 35 designers will be represented in Modavia Fashion Week 2009 in 4 to 5 shows daily, beginning at noon SLT at The Tents at Bryant Park in Second Life.
In addition to the fashion shows, participating designers will have on-site boutiques, offering designs seen in their shows and there will be gifts offered to attendees by many of the designers and sponsors.

We are delighted to announce that Studio Red Entertainment, Lost Angel Industries, and Damiani will sponsor the entertainment which will include live DJs at every show. By Alexander Fine Jewelry designed by Alexandar Vargas, InQConnections.com, WBA Advertising, SL Newspaper, and VAIN Inc will also provide sponsorship for the event.
