Design contest delayed at M&M
Hello All (Designers, Press, Contestants)
As soon as we announced we would have a Fashion Design Contest, all the residents reacted with enthusiasm.
But unfortunately that wasn't enough;
Due to SL's issues, 'better known & easy' events and holiday-times we did not receive as many Entry-Forms as we hoped for.
A good Contest with some challenge needs at least 10 Designers !!
We're sad to announce the Contest can't take place on these grounds and we have to 'delay' this great event....
The M&M Creations Fashion Design Contest 2009 will become a NEW YEAR Fashion Design Contest 2010!
A better new year, better SL-performance, more time for the Designers to create a smashing outfit!!
You can still pick up an entry form and take your time creating something amazing!
We wish you all Happy Holidays, take good care and we'll be happy to meet next year!
Thank you all for your support!!
Most Regards
10 & Marcthur Goosson

Shapes by Kira Release of Eva Skins!
You are invited September 25th to Shapes by Kira for the debut of the fabulous new Eva skin. Gone are the days where you find a gorgeous shape and then have to search high and low for just the right skin to match it perfectly. Shapes by Kira is very well known for creating beautiful shapes and now with the release of Eva skin you can let Shapes by Kira be your one stop body shop. Eva skin comes with and without a hair base and looks great with a variety of shapes found at Shapes by Kira. Eva comes with 9 makeups and one natural look and for you freckle lovers next month there will be a freckled version of Eva released. Eva skin will also be featured at the skin fair being held September 26th until October 10th. There will be an exclusive makeup found only at the Expo (The expo will help raise money in support of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation). You definitely want to make it to the skin fair in order to check out that amazing exclusive!
The talented person behind Shapes by Kira is Kira Paderborn. Kira was one of the first models at Avenue Models when it opened and she quickly showed she was more than just another 'pretty face'. Two and a half years ago Kira noticed there were not many shape makers in Second Life. She began making shapes and even though her shop was small her clientele grew rapidly, and Shapes by Kira became an overnight success. Kira is also a co-owner of the Corrupted Innocence brand along with her business partner Alexxis Laszlo. Second Life is full of many people who make skin and shapes but Kira truly believes in putting out only quality material. There is nothing in her stores that she herself would not wear. Months ago Kira made a skin and sent it to bloggers. She got lots of feedback on that skin after its release and decided to create a new skin making changes to improve the overall quality of the skin and make it more appealing to potential customers.
Kira puts her heart and soul into each item she creates and hopes her customers can feel that when they wear something created by her. Looking good and feeling good begins underneath your clothes. Let Shapes by Kira help you feel and look your best!
For more information regarding Shapes by Kira, please contact Kira Paderborn-Owner. Media wanting to interview or setup appointment with Kira, please contact Annette Wilder-Wilder Public Relations Firm Inc™ Owner.

New Dana's Delight Wedding Fashion !
Today we got a wonderfulll show - The show we all had been waiting for. Amazed about the weddingfashion created by our own Dana Vanmoer. Words by Pup Witherspoon.
A group of us were privileged to see the launch of dana’s newest designs, an incredible array of wedding gowns, bridesmaid’s dresses, tiaras and fabulous prim bouquets. Beautiful laces, amazing taffetas, incredible details and skirts that can’t be adequately described floated down the runway.
Fabulous necklines, beautifully detailed sleeves, and amazing bodices brought ohhhs and ahhhs from the crowd, but the skirts.. oh my….fabulous prim creations that floated and swirled, with amazing under layers and over layers had us all enthralled. No doubt ladies are already scheming on how to get their SL sweetheart to pop the question, so that they can purchase one of these fairy-tale gowns. Me – I’m going to buy one and not wear the veil, and pretend it’s just an amazing white evening gown !!!!

New Dana's Delights is the collection of masterful designs by creator Dana Vanmoer. More known for her work with SL-Newspaper, it may come as a surprise to know Dana is a skillful designer in RL. Making the natural shift as a designer in SL, Dana finds relaxation and fun in her talent and has to this point kept her sl-work separate.
NDD caters to the ladies, from business wear, casuals, and evening wear to her new line of wedding gowns and accessories. The feminine ladies suits have been the most popular of Dana's main line up to this point, but she suspects the wedding collection will soon eclipse it. With the support of close friends and partner James, Dana has successfully opened 4 stores around the grid.
For more information please visit Dana's mainstore or blog, both listed below.

Ttukinowaguma Hair

There are 2 things I have failed to be able to create, one is shoes the other is hair, so when I find a good designer I go a bit mad and will wear their designs all the time until I find someone new.
Recently at the Styles of edo show for Narkissos I saw the designs of KateForster Akina of Ttukinowaguma hair and thought I would go and take a much closer look as several of the shorter styles looked like my style.
One thing I have consistently noticed with updo's is although the back may be incredibly intricate and lovely the front lets the styles down with Ttukinowaguma hair the front is as detailed and for a change the eyes are not covered - this may just be a fashion trend of the moment but 90% of the styles I like also cover the eyes too much - these do not.
In fact the range of styles is pretty big with both mens and womens styles in long and short.
Most of the styles can be seen on KateForster's BLOG this is in japanese so if you use THIS LINK you can see the google translation of it.
All styles have colour change options with accessories also having 133 colour options.
I have seen many hair designers and love a few of them but I find it refreshing to see a hair designer with a flair for different this is one for the favourites folder!

The store itself is a joy to explore. The time, energy, and effort to

evident. Displays rez quickly, and the gowns are photographed in a
realistic and glamorous fashion. Even the music streamed in
speaks of simple elegance that only enhances the shopping experience.
Check out some of the Agnes Finney "My Precious" new

Agnes kindly offered me the gown I couldn't stop swooning over - The

Felis Avatar Available in Free Beta
By Bixyl Shuftan
One of the upcoming avatars that I had heard the most about is the anthro “Felis” domestic cat avatar by Uchi Desmoulins, notably through Internet film clips. A few days ago, I heard a beta version was available for free. So some friends and I went to the Curious sim to go get a copy.
The sim had a few structures, including an underground sewer. As for the avatar, to get a copy one had to find a marked box and click it within 10 meters of it. Once someone clicked on it, it would vanish and appear else where in the sim. To help others looking for it, some people who already had the avie would sit on it to make it easier to see.
What made things tricky was when it appeared in the vortex in one corner of the sim. It was inside a depression marked off with “do not cross” tape, a little fencing, and signs. The vortex crackled with lightning, and dust rolled down the rim and into the hollow, disappearing in the hole. Anyone getting too close, whether on foot or flying in the air, would be sucked in and ported elsewhere in the sim. Needless to say, when the box appeared there, getting it could be a challenge.
For a free avatar, the beta Felis is very good. My friends thought it looked great, some mentioning the detail of the whiskers, and one the muscle tone. Someone in a group chat thought it had a lower ARC than most feline avies he knew of. The avatar has a built in “Muzzletalk,” and will move it’s lips when speaking, or if the nose is clicked. The eyes are also adjustable, both the color and the width of the pupils from huge and round to narrow slits to somewhere in between. Uchi also made available a box with two more pairs of eyes, one having pupils that get smaller instead of narrowing. The “Box of Eyeballs” appears near the main entrance.
The avatar has no head hair other than fur. But one can easily get it elsewhere (I use the hair from my Wingless avatars for it). And only comes in one color: white.
The Felis is not Uchi’s only free avatar. Earlier this year, Uchi made available a beta version of his Ringtail for no charge.
For a beta feline avie, just “purr-fect.”

M&M Creations
As an aspiring photographer here in SL (and one who just cannot seem to build anything but a square box), I found a wonderful selection of items at M&M that I could use in my studio. So I'm making my list!
A vast array of creative lighting prims can be found to select from. Any number of them would serve well as props to provide "just the right" mood to the photos I take.
Their well-sculpted trees are breathtaking - so realistic! One or two of those added to a scene would add depth and character to any portrait. And... to my utter surprise and delight, M&M even offers particle poofers in a great variety of styles, colors and sizes.
But I was particularly excited to find the "Lily Mysticalia" chair ! Not only would it make a conversational enhancement to the land around my studio, but could double as a prop for an inspiring photograph!
M&M Creations truly does offer an incredible selection of products that add the finishing touch to your own creations - or... inspiration for ... even photos!
